The Bureau of Labor Law Compliance, at the PA Department of Labor & Industry is seeking a Labor Law Investigator to monitor and enforce Pennsylvania's laws that protect workers' rights. This position executes these responsibilities by providing employees and employers with information about the state laws through public education programs, conducting inspections and investigations, resolving disputes, and initiating prosecution against employers for violations which cannot be corrected through the administrative process. As a Labor Law investigator, you will be conducting audits and investigations regarding enforcement of 13 state labor laws to ensure compliance. These include Construction Workplace Misclassification Act (Act 72), Prohibition of Excessive Overtime in Health Care Act (Act 102), Child Labor Act, Minimum Wage Act, Wage Payment Collection Law, Prevailing Wage Act, Medical Pay Law, Apprenticeship and Training Act, Equal Pay Law, Industrial Homework Law, Personnel File Inspection Act, and Seasonal Farm Labor Act, Act 75 and any Regulations promulgated under each. You will have the opportunity to utilize your exceptional communication skills when working with staff regarding current investigations and when representing the commonwealth in prosecutions.
