Overview Empire Office is currently seeking a
Creative Specialist in our
New York, NY office to join our team. The Creative Studio was established to support the ever-growing need for ancillary spaces in commercial office projects. The Creative Specialist supports internal sales teams and clients (A+D and end customers) for ancillary furniture, accessories, and artwork needs.
Key Responsibilities - Develop ancillary packages for projects that require alternates due to price point or lead time requirements.
- Devise furniture solutions to address a look + feel package with no defined specifications.
- Develop InDesign or PowerPoint presentation and Excel spreadsheet with product information including but not limited to pricing, discount, lead times, and warranties.
- Assist internal sales teams with their day-to-day requests for alternate products.
- Develop accessories packages that can be added to projects to elevate the space.
- Collaborate with Creative Studio and Marketing teams to develop the Creative Library - a pricing tool consisting of proven ancillary products vetted from Empire's 400+ manufacturer partners.
- Maintain & update product data for the above tool on a quarterly basis.
- Foster partnerships with key manufacturer partners and develop a strong understanding of their aesthetics, manufacturing strengths, weaknesses, price points, and lead times.
- Identify and expedite escalated requests with professionalism and a sense of urgency
Qualifications Skills & Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in business management or equivalent
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office programs, especially Excel
- Must have an excellent understanding of furniture aesthetics and interior design styles
- Excellent verbal & written communication skills
- Attention to detail & strong organizational skills
- Ability to problem-solve and work independently
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects with deadlines simultaneously
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a sense of urgency
- Experience in Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and AutoCAD a plus
- Contract furniture experience & knowledge are a plus
- Hedberg Experience a plus
- Salary range: $55,000 to $75,000, based on experience and qualifications.
